When you insulate a home less energy is consumed to heat and cool the home. This means improved comfort for you and your family. It will also reduce the risk of illness from dampness, cold and mould. About 10% of a home's heat can be lost through the floor, 30% through the walls and a further 40% through the ceiling. Installing quality ceiling, underfloor and wall insulation will keep you warmer in winter and cooler in summer without exorbitant electricity bills. A warm home is a healthier too, so you'll be more comfortable, save money and improve the health of your family.

Ceiling and underfloor insulation has been compulsory in all rental homes since 1 July 2019, where it is reasonably practicable to install. Ceiling insulation installed before 1 July 2016 needs to be at least 120mm thick and needs minimum R-value of 2.9. Underfloor insulation needs a minimum R-value of 1.3. Some existing insulation in rental properties will need to be topped up or replaced.
